This is an open call for "No Place for Us"; an anthology of short romantic fiction which takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. Any story containing copyrighted characters is not permitted, but fanfic which has been edited to be a stand-alone story with original characters is acceptable. All gender pairings, sub-genre, and content rating are accepted for this book, but the main theme has to be romance. The word limit is a 15,000 word maximum with no minimum word count. The theme is open to interpretation, and all genres are welcome as long as they feature an element of augmentation – stories do not have to be science-fiction. Stories must be 1000-5000 words in English. No poetry or non-fiction. Stories will be accepted from all corners of the globe. Stories must respond to the theme of ‘augmentation’ in some way. Stories that are not related to the theme in any way will be rejected out of hand. Stories may be in any genre, provided they meet the theme.
