This is the place to submit your horror, sci-fi and speculative fiction stories.  Current theme: Theme Park Theme park, amusement park, fun fair or carnival - no matter what you call them, they are always a great way to escape from the ho hum of your regular life. From roller coasters to dodgem cars, ring toss to log flumes, there is always plenty of fun and excitement to be had (and plenty of opportunities for you to write some terrific speculative fiction). Think roller coasters and amusement rides. Think loose lap-bars and dark tunnels. Think long lines, carousels and food poisoning. Try to think outside the box and give us something that would wouldn't have seen before. Thuggish Itch is our horror, sci-fi and speculative fiction collection. Taking Submissions: Ombak Magazine

Deadline: December 30th, 2018 Payment: 0.08 USD per word for accepted fiction Note: Authors must be from the Southeast Asia region. We purchase first worldwide distribution rights to the English copies of all submitted texts. We specialize in short fictions, up to 4000 words. We pay at a rate of 0.08 USD per word for accepted fiction. We accept the following formats: .odt, .rtf, .doc, and .docx. Your submission must NOT have been published anywhere else. We want your stories about the corruption of basically good things into something far worse. Stories about cultists transforming into monsters, or undeath spreading across the land. We want to experience the inescapable dread of oncoming corruption that can’t be escaped. As with other submissions, there are some basic guidelines: Violence, sex, and gore must be pertinent and interesting to the story. Anything too gratuitous will be rejected. Pink Triangle Rhapsody is our newest anthology series in celebration of and dedicated entirely to gay men and their cultural history. Although we realize this may create some controversy, this anthology series is open to gay male writers only. While we appreciate that women and straight men are able to accurately portray gay characters, our intent with this series is to highlight and explore the gay male cultural experiences on a more personal level. The Pink Triangle Rhapsody series is a non-themed anthology series, with the exception of the required genre and inclusion of one or more of Lycan Valley’s required elements.
