This week’s writing prompt:
Write a scene in which your protagonist is trying to keep a secret from another character. It could be something like a piece of information or lie they are trying to cover up, or it could be something physical (hiding a person or thing from them). In addition to playing up the struggle of concealing something, give us a glimpse of the protagonist’s mental state and thoughts. Do they feel guilt over hiding something? Fear of being caught in a lie? Dig into the emotional intensity of the scene.
