We here at ‘Write Ahead/The Future Looms’ are always looking for new pieces of work to slate for publication and up and coming writing tallent that we can place within our Magazine. We recieve a lot of interest from Writers and we appreciate you taking the time to read these guidelines in order to make sure that your piece will be duly considered. When submiting your work please follow one of the three options to aid us in streaming your submission and getting it appraised in the right way.

All emails sent to editor should use the title of one of the three Categories as their subject header submissions who do not do this will not get past our filter.

Cyberpunk Short-Story Type 1

This is a slot for stories between 750 and 2500 words in length. The payment for this is £0.02 per word and will be rendered in full to the Writer via paypal upon acceptance of our contract for the First World English Rights, Anthology Rights, First World Electronic Rights, Archival Rights and Non Exclusive Reprint rights. A full explanation as to the nature of the rights we require purchase of can be found here.

We value stories that are experimental with regard to Narrative Techniques, yet still retain strong character and plot elements.

Please be aware that it is unlikely that we will accept your story for this category on the strength of a single piece. To make a judgement and commitment regarding your work we need at least two and preferably three pieces with a detailed description as to what you wish to do with your setting.

Art Inquiry

We also commision Art for use on our covers as well as within our magazines. Usually we have a network of Freelancers we use for these needs, however since we feature many tallented people, we also maintain a channel for such contributions.

If you wish to have us publish existing pieces of your art, or if you wish to work on commission for us, then please use this header and submit a portfolio alongside a potential price point.
