Calliope is an upcoming, publishing app dedicated to genre fiction — interactive, illustrated fiction.

Anything to do with high fantasy, operatic sci-fi, heart-stopping action, that’s our jam. Combine that with visually stunning imagery that responds to your touch, and you have our mission. We’re looking for short stories (2,000 – 4,000 words) and flash fictions (100 – 1,000 words) of any type of genre fiction (i.e., romance, horror, fantasy, etc.)

• We take rolling submissions.
• You may submit more than one work at a time. However, please do not submit the same work multiple times.
• Our rates are $0.05 / word.
• Your work cannot be published or posted anywhere else. If you’ve previously posted your work on any social platform we cannot accept it, even if you’ve already taken it down.
• We take Exclusive First World Rights.
• Should your story be accepted for publication, and should you accept our contract terms, we’ll publish your work through our app as well as our social media sites.
• We regret that we won’t be able to accept all work, or personally reply to all submissions.
• Please send your submissions as a PDF attachment to [email protected] using the following guidelines:
• 12 pt Times New Roman, double-spaced.
