Our Month In Review! Write Me Up… When September Ends…

Welcome to September! While it still feels like Summer across the world, Fall technically begins near the end of the month and this is the season most speculative fiction writers live for. Colder weather(maybe), changing seasons, Halloween, the season (but not the month) of NaNoWriMo.

For starters, I know that we’re very behind on the Trembling With Fear anthology. The cover issues have almost been resolved and we’re THIS close to being able to share it. One small change and it should be set. Also, it looks spectacular!

What Is New At The Horror Tree?!

In working to expand our reach into global domination of helping writers and increasingly readers everywhere, we’ve also recently created a tumblr account which can be located here: http://thehorrortree.tumblr.com. At the moment, it is just crossposting our main website’s posts and is another way for you to access our content if your the type of person who enjoys to tumblr.

On the site, we made a slight cosmetic change by adding the visible social icons in our header and footer. Now you can more easily access us from your preferred platform of choice! Well, assuming we support it.

For posts, here is what stood out the last month!
Articles:
Creative Marketing Tips From Authors Round 1.
How Do I Get An Agent Anyway? Part 3.
Best Books For Authors.

Book Reviews:
C.H.U.D. Lives: A Tribute Anthology.

Video Refresh:

Story Worms: For Love or Money.
Rhiannon Frater Interview.

A Brief Update!

Once again, we’re trying to share how the Horror Tree is growing socially. I need to keep a focus on this as it is hard to find ways to grow our social media and keeping track shows how many authors and readers we’re able to reach!

  • Horror Tree’s Twitter – Moved from 6714 to 6692 followers. For the first time this year we’ve lost followers. We’re down 12 which isn’t the direction that we want to be going to hit 7,000!
  • Horror Tree’s Facebook – 1771 to 1787. Only a slight bump however we’ve had more visits from Facebook this month so we have to be doing something right!
  • Horror Tree’s Instagram – Absolutely no growth this month.
  • Horror Tree’s Pinterest – No change here, still 11 followers. Honestly, we get a lot of likes to our quotes and shares but not lot of follows or traffic. I’m iffy on how much work I plan on continuing to put into this outlet!
  • Horror Tree’s YouTube gained 7 new subscribers in the past month and we’re up to 31. Not bad for only video refreshes so far!

As always, I hope we’re helping you out and we’d love to see your comments with any suggestions or thoughts on what we’re doing! Thanks for being a reader!
