Theme: science fiction and fantasy stories
IZ Digital is currently open to unsolicited submissions of science fiction and fantasy stories up to a maximum of 5000 words.
We are looking for original, unpublished stories. Please do not query about reprints.
We accept simultaneous submissions.
We do not accept multiple submissions.
If you receive a rejection from us, please wait three weeks before submitting again.
Payment is (EUR) 1.5¢ (one and one-half euro cents) per word.
Stories should be in standard manuscript format. Email your submission as an attachment to: submissions [at] interzone [dot] digital
You don’t need to provide a postal address on your manuscript.
Don’t spend too long on a cover letter: just introduce yourself and tell us of any relevant credits you have.
Do not be discouraged by a form rejection. It still means what it says: try us with something new.
If your story has been rejected for the print edition of Interzone, don’t submit to IZ Digital – we will already have considered that option.

We aim to respond to submissions within 5 weeks. If you have not heard anything within this time, email submissions [at] interzone [dot] digital with ‘follow-up’ and the title of your original submission in the subject line.
