The ePocalypse will feature apocalyptic collaborative stories told/narrated exclusively through e-mail. Each story MUST have 2 or more collaborating authors. All e-mails must take place as the world as we know it is ending… earthquakes, floods, virus/disease, meteors, aliens, etc. We’re not really looking for zombie stories, though we will consider them if unique to the apocalyptic genre. About the contest… Editor’s Choice Award: $150.00 (split between teammates) The Editor’s Choice Award will be picked by the editor/compiler of the anthology; decision will be at her sole discretion Contributor’s Choice Award: $100.00 (split between teammates) The Contributor’s Choice Award will be picked by the contributing authors of the anthology. When the anthology is compiled, copyedited and typeset, we will send out an interior proof to the authors to check their stories for last minute copyediting/formatting errors. At this time, contributing authors have the option to read through the other stories and vote for their favorite story. Authors can’t vote for their own story, and each contributing author can only vote once. No contributing author is required to vote, but all authors who do are entered into a “consolation drawing” for a free copy of the anthology. Now we can find out. " CODE Z – An Undead Hospital Anthology " is a horror anthology with an undead theme. Tales of life excitement and of course the undead. Each story will be a unique and new. What happened in those few precious hours before the plague of the dead left the hospital? What we want: We are looking for short fiction horror stories between 4,000 and 7,000 words pertaining to the ‘Undead Hospital’ theme of the book. Any plot that is horror themed and involving the undead hospital is acceptable except for sexual content including but not limited to rape, and sexual torture of any kind. We are looking for either zombies or vampires take your pick. Any storyline and any idea. The catch is that there will only be 4 stories selected for this anthology. Deadline for this will be May 15, 2011 and will be released in September 2011. The select 4 will receive a contributors copy, $75.00 each, and a bonus to be determined upon reviewing the winning submissions. And volume two is going to take terror to a new level. Like volume I, this second volume will be an open themed anthology of horror. Meaning we want stories from all topics and subcategories of horror. Including, but not limited to: psychological, creatures, paranormal, and gore. Remember, evil has no boundaries and neither do we! Nothing is off limits, so take advantage of the freedom. Science fiction and dark fantasy* will be considered as long as it has a strong element of horror.
