Submission Window: September 14th - November 9th 2022 Payment: Contributor's Copy Theme: Light & Dark We rarely get to tell our own stories. Whether we are queer, poc, disabled, or all of the above, our stories are most often told for us by people unqualified to. For much of history, we were kept silent on our own experiences. But now we have a voice and the ability to uplift the voices of others. We must take advantage of this as much as possible. Limeoncello Magazine was created for this purpose. Our stories are valuable. Our voices will be heard. Winter 2022 theme: Light & Dark. Submissions will be open from September 14th - November 9th. We publish OwnVoices stories in all genres. All works including common triggers will be prefaced by a trigger warning. How we define OwnVoices: an author from a marginalized, persecuted, or underrepresented group writing about their own experiences/from their own perspective, rather than someone from an outside perspective writing as a character from an underrepresented group. All works must be own voice. Any graphic depictions of sexual assault, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, antisemitism, etc. must be own voice. We do not publish work that encourages violence or hatred toward others. You must be 18 or older to submit. All submissions must: be in English be double spaced be 12-point Times New Roman or Arial font have tab-indention on all paragraphs have a one-inch margin on all pages be a Microsoft or Google Docs file All submissions must include a cover page. The cover page should include: title author’s name (pen names allowed) an indication that the author is over 18 an approximate word count identities relevant to the piece trigger/content warnings for your work, if applicable Flash Fiction pieces should be under 2k words.
