WEIRD WAR ANTHOLOGY is a terrifying new horror short story anthology due for release in December 2011.

This dark collection of macabre war tales will showcase the very best bloodcurdling short stories in the field of historical horror from talented new voices, as well as featuring a comprehensive overview of the military-horror genre by examining the works of acclaimed writers including Ambrose Bierce, Edgar Allan Poe, Kim Newman, Harry Turtledove, Connie Willis, F. Paul Wilson, James Herbert, JRR Tolkein, Graham Masterton, Dan Simmons and Stephen King.

We are seeking out the best new works from emerging talent to include in this bumper collection of chilling prose.

We want to see exciting and original horror short fiction of between 3000 and 9000 words, set around warfare or conflict, or featuring war as a central theme.

We are also particularly interested in unusual tales that may not feature the typical horror antagonist.

Good luck!
