This week’s writing prompt:
Your protagonist hires a clown for a birthday party as a prank. It’s their best friend’s birthday who is deathly afraid of clowns. Yet the clown never shows up.
Dismissing it as a failed prank due to the wrong address, the protagonist thinks nothing of it until they see a clown, laughing, outside on their street. The clown follows them everywhere, always standing far enough in the street, laughing.
Annoyed, the protagonist rings the entertainment company to complain, but they have no record of the booking nor do they recognise the description of the clown in question.
