This week’s writing prompt:
Your protagonist comes home and discovers voicemail on their phone. Their phone never rang and there is no record of a number ringing them, but they shrug it off, dismissing it as a tech glitch and then listen to the message.
The voice is older, raspy and coughing, declaring that the protagonist must do exactly what they say. The voice tells them to scroll through their social media and defriend their best friend from childhood and then ignore their best friend for the rest of their life.
Thinking it is a weird prank, the protagonist ignores the message and deletes it.
The next day, their best friend arrives, begging for help, and carrying a large suspicious package.
What happens next is up to you…Let your imagination run wild!
