This week’s writing prompt:
A book is delivered to your character’s door, but your character didn’t order it.
Let them look at the cover, the blurb, and the spine before your character opens its old pages.
Blank.
Your character notes the sender as a local bookshop, but when they ring them (or visit them), the bookshop declares they never sent the order.
Your character returns it regardless, (via post or handing it over) but when they arrive home, the book has followed them. Its voice whispers to them at night.
What does this cursed book want?
What is its backstory?
Can your character get rid of it?
What happens next is up to you…Let your imagination run wild!
