Another prompt inspired by a recently-read story! While not “needed,” I highly suggest checking out “Take My Heart to the Event Horizon” by Felicia Martínez at The Razor before starting this one.
After reading Felicia Martínez’s “Take My Heart to the Event Horizon,” I’m starting to wonder what other objects or concepts we can give humanlike thoughts and emotions to. We often do this with things we believe to be humanlike in some way – robots, aliens, AI, cats… I challenge you to take something completely different (like a universe) and give it human feelings and motivations. A clock, a door, the moon… capture this object having a very human moment and see where your creativity takes you.
