This week’s writing prompt:
A young girl stumbles out of the woods, lost, with her memory wiped, muttering, “The hanging tree. The hanging tree. The hanging tree. The hanging tree.”
Discovered by your main character, they then find the hanging tree destroyed. It has exploded with bark and splintering wood everywhere. Deduced it was struck by lightning, your main character heads home, unaware that something is watching and following.
Who is the mysterious girl? What is following your main character? And what is the significance of the Hanging Tree?
What happens next is up to you…Let your imagination run wild!
