Taking Submissions: Attack of the Previously Unpublished Series

Payment: For Anthologies, we pay a flat rate and contributor copies to each author.

Because we truly believe there is talent everywhere, SWW Publishing is proud to announce three anthologies of speculative fiction, open only to those who have never been published. There will be one volume for Horror, one volume for Fantasy, and one volume for Science Fiction.

Word Count: 4000 to 10,000 words.

Our only other requirement is that you have not had any material accepted by any other publication, print or digital.

We all remember how hungry we were to get that first taste of publication under our belts so we could officially call ourselves “A Writer.” If you have talent it will come through in your submissions.

All submissions should be thoroughly edited, before submitting. We are not English majors (Ok, one of us used to be, lol… but you get the point.) and will not spend a lot of time rewriting a submission which obviously hasn’t been read for typo and grammatical errors.

All manuscripts should be in Microsoft Word and should be double spaced with an extra space between each paragraph. This extra space should be done in Word, through your paragraph settings, not by you actually hitting enter twice. There should be no indention at the start of each paragraph.

All emails should have “Previously Unpublished” in the subject box, along with either “Horror”, “Fantasy”, or “Science Fiction”

The submission period will remain open until each volume is full. We are not sure if this will become an annual at this time, but it definitely has the potential to do so.

Submissions should be sent to: submissions@strangeweirdandwonderful.com and while it does not specify it for this anthology it does for others to include “Attack of the Previously Unpublished Series” in the subject line.
