Ongoing Submissions: TM Magazine

Payment: $0.05/word

TM Publishing is currently accepting short story submissions in all genres, including creative non-fiction, at $0.05/word.

TM Publishing does not print, publish, or otherwise distribute graphic descriptions of sex or violence. Please do not submit works with graphic content.

Novellas: 10,000–60,000 words
Short stories: 1,000–10,000 words
Flash Fiction: <1000 words

Submit one .doc file containing each of the following elements, in the following order, each element beginning a new page:

1. Short pitch of the work, no more than 500 words. Include a heading with your name, email address, contact information, and the work’s title, length and genre (if applicable).
2. An exemplary selection from the piece, as defined by the author.
3. Basic outline or overview of the piece. (Please include an overview of plot twists, the ending, etc.)
4. Complete manuscript of the work.

Put ALL of these items in ONE file.

Submissions should be emailed to: submissions @ tmpublishing.com with the subject line “short story submission.”
Please allow two weeks for manuscripts to be reviewed. No simultaneous submissions, please (i.e. please do not send us a story that is currently being reviewed by another publishing house), though multiple submissions (i.e. submitting three stories at once) are approved.

Strong submissions will generate interest for the work in the pitch as well as display clear structure and excellent prose.
